- Material handling equipment is used in a number of industries and commercial sectors such as: mining, manufacturing, dock work, construction, petroleum works, warehouses, pharmaceutical stores, assembly, printing, shopping malls, food processing, heat treatment, harvest and lumber products, and automobile assembly lines, etc. It is my mandate to ensure all users of Material Handling Equipment are well informed and provided with the accurate information to make the best decisions regarding their Material Handling requirements.

Pedestrian Safety
Pedestrians and forklifts don’t mix. Almost half of all people injured by a forklift are pedestrians. There are some obvious areas that can be addressed to improve pedestrian safety around forklifts, including: designating pedestrian exclusion zones; clearly marking pedestrian walkways; and audio or visual warnings of an approaching forklift. Consideration should be given to the height and type of load carried, the operating surface and the speed travelled.Reduce the risk by ensuring your policies and procedures are up to date.
